Brenda G. Norman

Brenda G. Norman, 72, of Colorado Springs passed away on Tuesday January 3, 2023, at Namaste Alzheimer Center. Brenda was born on April 6, 1950, in Utah to the late Tom Norman and Nellie Norman Coonce.

Brenda is survived by her three children Bob Lynch Jr. (Michelle) of West Terre Haute, IN, son Chris Lynch (Helen) of West Terre Haute, IN, and daughter Heather Rickerl (Brad) of Colorado Springs, CO; sister Janet Monk (Duane); brother Tom Norman Jr.  She has 4 grandchildren Cody Rickman (Brianna), Gage Lynch (Merceedes), Kabel Lynch and Kyle Lynch. She has 3 great grandchildren Oakley Rickman, Reagan Rickman, and Liam Lynch. Over the years, she opened her home and heart to many other kids that called her mom.

Brenda was a 1968 graduate of North Vermillion high school and a 1971 graduate of St. Anthony’s School of Nursing.  Brenda proudly had a 40+ year nursing career, sharing her love and care for every patient.  She lived many years in Newport and Clinton, IN and relocated to Colorado Springs in 2005.  Brenda loved shopping, spending time with her children and family, watching her crime shows, crocheting, and sitting on the bank with a fishing pole in hand.

Brenda’s request was that in lieu of a funeral to have a celebration. Her wishes were for everyone to laugh and enjoy life. Her celebration of life will be on Saturday January 21, 2023, at the American Legion in Newport, IN (125 South Main St. Newport IN, 47966). The celebration starts at 2:00. Food and drinks will be provided. Please come share your memories of Brenda.
