Diana Carlson
January 3, 1950 – October 10, 2024
Mom, Mom#2, sometimes even “Di”, and to family and friends Diana, passed away peacefully in the early hours of October 10, 2024, at home with her daughter and their family dog by her side. She was born January 3, 1950, in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
In her younger years, she lived with her family in the Town of Huntington, Long Island, New York until they moved across the country to Huntington Beach, California. Diana attended and graduated from Rolling Hills High School. After graduating high school, Diana went to the University of California, Santa Barbara and earned her Bachelor’s degree in History and minor in Political Science.
Eventually Diana moved to Colorado Springs, where the rest of her family was located and where she wanted to raise her daughter. She made a significant mark in the commercial insurance industry, where she was well-known for her expertise and dedication. Throughout her career of forty plus years, she was distinguished and highly respected by her peers and clients alike until she retired.
While Diana raised her daughter, she was known for her love of exploring new experiences, often seen sightseeing during weekend day trips, trying delicious foods, seeing the newest weekly movies, experiencing new and exciting concerts, and traveling with her daughter. These activities brought great joy to her life and to those who had the pleasure of joining her on these adventures.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristen, and was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Sue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the kidney foundation in Diana's memory. In place of a service, her daughter is asking for favorite memories you have of Diana to be sent to her, dcarlson24_obituary@yahoo.com. Diana's kindness and spirit will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
