Douglas Bradshaw Obituary

Douglas Haywood Bradshaw born March 21, 1962 in Denver, Colorado transitioned on January 8, 2021.

Son of Wylma L. and the late Gerald H. Bradshaw. He leaves four children, DJ Bradshaw, Quentin Bradshaw, Marion Bradshaw, and Douglas Bradshaw, and his grandchildren. He has two sisters Kim E. (Bradshaw) Andrews and Gerri L. (Bradshaw) Harvey, and fiancé Wanda Phillips. He leaves nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends.

Doug had two passions; his first passion was his love for cooking where he graduated from Aspen Point Culinary School. His favorite place was in his kitchen cooking up food from morning to night. His second love was playing drums, which he could do day and night. His first set of drums was in elementary school and his love of beating drums or even hearing drumbeats continued to stay with him. He was known for his musical talent during high school when playing drums for the former night club called “Homer Odyssey” located in Colorado Springs, back in the day.

His favorite basketball team was the Lakers, and favorite football team, the Bears.  Hanging with family and friends, cooking, playing drums, watching his favorite teams play, and of course talking trash made his day!

Doug was a 1980 graduate of Mitchell High School where he played Basketball. At Irving Junior High School he set and kept the “high jump” record for 20 years, until the school closed. He worked as a Prep Cook, Material Handler and Production Operator. Doug was good-hearted, had a great sense of humor and was very high-spirted. Doug loved people and will be tremendously missed by many.
