It is with great sadness, the family of Gyllian Callicott-Meyers announce her unexpected passing. Gyllian Callicott-Meyers was born in Denver, Colorado on May 13th, 1985. She went to her home in heaven on August 18th, 2021, in Colorado Springs at the young age of 36.
Gyllian loved reading, writing and historical research. She was creative, clever, and continually filled with new and exciting story ideas. She wrote and published a child’s novel, “Louisiana Treasure Hunt” at the age of 21. To directly quote Gyllian “I love reading and writing and a nice fall afternoon; you know the type, just when the air turns crisper, the leaves shudder beneath your foot and you’re on a mission for a pumpkin spice latte.” She was a wonderful wife, a caring and supportive sister, the very finest of “Aunties,” and an absolute joy to her parents.
Gyllian was generous, thoughtful, and a joy to be around. She loved giving gifts! Often, they were creatively hand made. All were uplifting and always unexpected. She was funny, sweet, and loved. She often gave people and pets in her life unique and wonderful, “Gyllian,” nicknames. Every life that she touched will be forever changed. We loved her so very much! She will be dearly missed.Gyllian is survived by her husband Adam Meyers. Her brothers Timothy Smith, Ryan Smith, Joshua Barnett, Jeremiah Barnett, Jonathan Barnett, Matthew Callicott, Anthony Callicott and James Callicott. Her sisters Jessica Barnett and Katariina Callicott. Her parents, Steven and Jacqueline Callicott. Her parents-in-law Jim & Sue Meyers and Becci Gruber. There will be a private family memorial. Memorial Donations may be made in Gyllian’s name to Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the UCHealth Memorial Hospital North for their care, support and compassion.
