Jimmy “Jim” Ray Musick, 69, died September 22, 2025, at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs after a long illness. He was born October 17, 1955, at Dodge City Kansas, the son of Carl “Rex” Musick and Bessie “Gertrude” (Foster) Musick.
He graduated from Dodge City High School in 1976 and later attended Dodge City Community College. In his early years he worked for the Dodge City Park Department and later worked at the Ford County Government Center where he retired. He enjoyed watching old movies, collecting coins and going to the casino.
He is survived by one son, Shane Lang and wife Tara, Kansas City Missouri, one sister, Rexine McKinley and husband Michael, Hays Kansas, two brothers, Gary Musick, Wichita Kansas, Larry Musick and wife Tami, Buckeye Arizona, sister-n-law Michele Musick, Dodge City Kansas, two granddaughters Samantha “Sam” Lang, Tessa Lang, and one grandson Austin Lang, all of Kansas City Missouri, one great grandson, Sawyer Hilburn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Brandon Lang, and brother, Rodney Musick.
