Karen Joy Andresen

Karen Joy (Weber) Andresen passed away with her family by her side on November 27,2020. She was born on April 3rd, 1950 in Waupun, WI. She grew up on a dairy farm in the small Wisconsin town of Markesan. Karen was first in her family to go to college; she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Oshkosh. Having retired in February from Evans Army Hospital, nursing was a career she excelled at for 48 years. September 1973, she met Ronald Andresen and after a 4-month whorl-wind romance they were married on December 21 that same year. Soon after they married, they headed out West for the first time to Colorado. There, she and Ron became pilots and hiked the wilds of Colorado as often as they could. In 1999 they returned to Colorado; she loved the “Rocky Mountain High”. She was blessed with four daughters Kimberly, Kristen (Conner), Kara (Michael), and Kathryn (Michael) and 4 grandchildren Karis, Kaden, Amelia, and Alora (due March 2021). She was fiercely dedicated to her family and nothing brought her more joy than to homeschool her grandchildren and spend time with them at her “Happiest Place on Earth”, Disney World. She was proceeded in death by her parents Alden and Mildred Weber as well as 2 infant brothers.
