Kathleen Rose (Wilcox) Jones

Kathleen Rose (Wilcox) Jones was born on August 28th 1955. She was described as an intelligent quiet child with a sweet smile. Her quiet way didn't last long! She met Elmer John Jones who was definitely meant for her. They married on November 27, 1976. It was the beginning of a beautiful marriage of 41 years.Kathy wouldn't let life get her down despite enormous challenges from an accident on the Autobahn leaving her legally blind. Kathy's passion for teaching and history had led her to a Master's Degree in Library Science; she used this to work with a multitude of children including on the Navajo reservation in New Mexico.Kathy's three children have always been the joy of her life; grandchildren have been her greatest blessing. Kathy never knew a stranger or turned away a person in need, showing her love for Christ in all of her deeds. Her favorite scripture was Romans 8:28. She will be dearly missed by all who have had the honor of having known her. Kathy is survived by her husband John, her 3 children Andrew (Amanda) parents of Mattie and Amaryllis, Jessica (Adam) and Diana, her mother Garnet, and her sisters Debbie, Katrina, Francie, Brother Lyle and their families. She was preceded in death by her father Chuck.In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to Kathy's beloved Boulder Street Church, or new Children's Christian books may be donated at the service.
