Linda Sue (Johnson) Babcock Obituary
Linda Sue Babcock, 87, of Savannah Georgia, passed away on 2/19/22 after a gradual decline in health at the Liberty Heights facility in Colorado Springs.
Linda Sue Johnson was born on July 13th, 1934 to Clinton and Helen Johnson of Ft. Fairfield, Maine. After graduating from Lehman High School in 1952, she went onto earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University.
While at BGSU, she met Lynn Wesley Babcock, and they wed in 1956, going on to have three children; Cynthia H., Matthew J., and Clinton E.
While raising her family, Linda Sue was a teacher of various grades and locations, including the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center in Bay Village Ohio.
After retiring in Savannah Georgia, Linda Sue continued teaching at the UGA aquarium on Skidaway Island, as well as writing articles on birding for the local newspaper, the TWATL. Besides birding, Linda Sue was also an avid golfer, popular neighbor, and loving grandmother.
Linda Sue was predeceased by her sisters Sally and Nancy, her husband Lynn, and her daughter Cindy. She is survived by her sons Matt and Eric.
