Manuel (Manny) Ramon Jimenez 44, of Colorado Springs, Co, lost a hard-fought battle with COVID on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Manny was born on October 21, 1976 and he graduated from Deming High School in 1995 and joined the US Army in 1999. He was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, and has been there ever since. He has worked at USAA since 2017. Manny was a wonderful photographer and owned LMJ Creative Expressions with his wife, Lisa since 2012. He loved photographing people and showing them how he saw them through the lens of his camera. I can’t tell you how many times people would say “Wow, that’s me??”. He loved audio books and podcasts and always had something playing in his ear, ALWAYS! BBQ was his passion, and he passed that down to his son Cody, to carry on. He also loved lifting weights and going to the gym. We loved his sarcasm and wit, he would joke about everything, and he was funny! Manny was so full of love and left a lasting effect on everyone he met. If you needed a shoulder, he was there. Advice, he was there. Whatever you needed he was there! He loved his family and friends fiercely. Manny is survived by his wife Lisa Jimenez (Roberts) of Colorado Springs, Co; his father Manuel Jimenez of Deming, NM; his sister Magdalena Shores (Shane Shores) of Deming, NM; his children Cody Burnett, Skye Jimenez, Maia Jimenez, Chance Burnett of Colorado Springs, CO; and granddaughter Marlow of Colorado Springs, CO. He has many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret Jimenez of Deming, NM and his sister Marilicia (Marci) Keeler of Deming, NM, his maternal grandparents, his paternal grandparents and many aunts and uncles. We will be having a Celebration of Life in Colorado Springs, CO and one in Deming, NM at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations in Manny’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org
