Michael Lovato Obituary

Mickey Lovato passed peacefully in his mother’s arms on May 17, 2026, at just 41 years old.  He was born in Brighton, Colorado and attended Longmont High School. Although Mickey faced many hardships throughout his life, his story was also one of faith, redemption, compassion, and perseverance. He became a born-again Christian, was baptized, and found strength and hope in Christ. Because of what he had been through himself, Mickey had a special ability to connect with others who were hurting or lost. He helped people find faith, healing, and the reminder that no one is beyond God’s love.

He was a writer and artist with a creative soul and thoughtful spirit. Through his words, artwork, and conversations, he expressed parts of himself that often went unseen. Those who knew him understood his sensitivity, his heart, and his desire to find peace and purpose. He would literally give you the shirt off his back.

Though Mickey’s passing leaves an immeasurable void, his faith brings comfort to those who loved and cared for him. His life was a testament to grace, redemption, creativity, and compassion. His impact will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone he encouraged, inspired, and led closer to Christ.

Mickey was also a beloved son, nephew, significant other, and older brother. He leaves behind his parents, uncles and aunts, three younger siblings, three children and girlfriend, who will forever carry memories of his humor, creativity, and the moments of love and laughter they shared with him. Despite life’s challenges, family remained deeply important to him.

While Mickey’s journey was complicated, his life mattered deeply, and he found purpose in sharing God’s love. He touched people in ways that may never fully be known, and his faith gave hope even during difficult times. His family takes comfort in believing he has finally found the peace he searched for throughout his life and is now with God in Heaven.

“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
