Monica Martinez

Our beloved Monica gained her angel wings on September 10, 2021. Monica was born on December 3, 1960, in Romeo, CO to Mary & Berlie Martinez. Monica enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, & spent most of her time tending to her flowers. She was a garden angel. She loved hummingbirds, butterflies, birds & nature. Monica loved spending time with her family & her kids, but she especially loved her grandkids. She enjoyed talking to & spending every chance she got with them. They were the light of her life. She looked forward to her tea parties with her little ones & loved painting their nails. She also loved watching her shows on Netflix.

Monica enjoyed the comfort of her home & the frequent visits from her siblings Ralph & Michelle. She was also very proud of her native roots. She lit up any room with her contagious laugh & her beautiful smile. Just her presence alone brought comfort & peace to anyone around her. Monica was loved by so many. She also gave as much love as she could to those around her. She is no longer chained to this unforgiving world we call earth. She is home & breathing in God’s sweet love. We will all miss her with all of our hearts. She is survived by her wonderful loving husband of 44 years; Jimmy Martinez; son Jude (Maranda) Martinez; daughter Crystal (Alexander) Euceda; son Santiago Martinez; daughter Natasha (Joseph) Vigil; daughters Ivadel & Roxanne Martin; grandchildren; Francesca, Irving, Monica, Berlie, Lila, Natalia, Dominic, Gideon, Malakai, Yazmine, Angelina, Miguel, Daviyon, Adrian, Helyiana, Christopher & Jazynae; four brothers, four sisters; & many family & friends.

Monica is preceded in death by her parents; Mary Rafeala Martinez & Berlie Walter Martinez, & several family members.

Cremation was chosen. In order to respect her last wishes, a funeral will not be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
